How can I rent a parking space or bike?
Safe parking space, locker and bike boxes
- You select your location, a parking space or locker and the desired rental period.
- You register by entering your contact details.

- After successful payment, you will receive your personal access data by e-mail.
- Now you can use the bike-and-ride facility on site.

- You collect your rental bike from the bike repair shop at the bike station.
- You can also spontaneously book a rental bike without registering or reserving via radparken-tuebingen.de. To do this, please contact the staff at the bike station on site. Payment can also be made in cash.
What payment methods are available?
There are three payment options available: PayPal, credit card and SEPA direct debit. Payment is processed by PayPal Plus for all payment methods. PayPal Plus must therefore be selected for all payment methods during the booking process. After booking, you will be redirected to PayPal and have the choice of three payment methods. Payment is possible without a PayPal account.
What information will I receive by e-mail?
What happens after I have entered my personal data for profile registration?
An e-mail will then be sent with the subject ‘Please confirm your profile for Radparken Tübingen’. Please check your inbox! In this e-mail you have to confirm your e-mail address. After successful confirmation, an e-mail with the subject ‘Welcome to Radparken Tübingen’ will be sent and your profile will be created.
How does booking as a guest (without registration) work?
If you do not wish to create an account, you also have the option of making a booking as a guest for the bike parking service and bike rental. To do this, you must select the guest login in the booking process and enter your first name, surname and email address. A temporary account will then be created for the booking period. The access data will be sent to the e-mail address provided and cannot be viewed by anyone else.
Please note that you will have to re-enter your details for each subsequent booking and that you will not be able to access past bookings.
You can only use the safe parking space, lockers and bike boxes if you have created a profile.
How do I use the system on site?
Use with QR code (bike parking service, safe parking space, locker stations, bike boxes, bike rental):
Once you have paid, you will receive your personal access data in the form of a QR code and booking number by e-mail. You can print this out or save it to your smartphone.
To open the facility, return your bike to the staff or collect your rental bike from the bike station, have your QR code ready at the access terminal reader or your booking number.
Use with PIN code (bike boxes only)
Before use, you must register directly at the system once for each booking period. To do this, enter your access data on the control element of the system. You can then open the door. Proceed as follows:
- Enter the # key --> Then enter all the access data, e.g:
- Valid until Date: 20240815
- Number: 002
- PIN: 5678
- Checksum: 548321
To open the system, enter your number and PIN directly without dialling a key, e.g:
- Number: 002
- PIN: 1234
Use with RFID card (safe parking space only)
To use an RFID card, please contact the bike station.
Where can I charge my e-bike in one of the stations?
What does the rental period “1 day” mean for a parking space or a rental bike?
Bike parking space:
When booking the parking space for “1 day”, it is booked until the following day at 11.59 pm. For example: If a parking space is booked for one day on 15.03.24 with immediate effect, the booking is valid until the following day 16.03.24 at 11.59 pm.
Rental bike:
When booking a rental bike for “1 day”, the booking is valid for the respective booking day within the opening hours of the bike station. This means that the rental bike must be returned on the same day. The opening hours of the bike station must be observed.
How can I extend a booking?
The renewal function is available:
- 30 days before the end of the term for annual bookings
- 14 days before the end of the term for monthly bookings
- for weekly bookings 3 days before the end of the term
- for daily bookings 12 hours before the end of the term
- To extend an existing booking, log in with your access data under My account.
- Go to “My active bookings”.
- The “Extend” button appears on the left under Booking status (if you are close to the end of the term), select it and follow the familiar booking process
- After renewing, you will receive new access data with a longer term.
- Please note: Once you have received the new access data, your old access data is no longer valid and you can now only use the system with the new access data.
How often can I open the door during the rental period?
How can I view my login details?
You can view the login details at any time in the My Account login area under “My active bookings”. To do this, you must log in with your e-mail address and password. You will also receive an e-mail with the access data after booking. The subject line is “Your PIN for your booking - booking number: 7-XXXXXX”.
How can I request new login details?
If, for example, you have forgotten your access details or have been observed entering your PIN, you can request your access details again as follows:
- Log in to the login area under My account with your e-mail address and password
- Click on “My active bookings” and on the corresponding booking number
- Click on “Request new access details”
You will then be sent new access details by e-mail. You will also see these in your login area.
How can I change the e-mail address stored in my user account?
Please contact us if you wish to change the e-mail address you have stored. We will be happy to arrange the change of address for you.
Is my bike automatically insured?
